Keitokuin Temple

After Takeda family was ruined in 1582, Tokugawa Ieyasu established this temple to mourn the loss of his comrade, Katsuyori. In one corner of the temple grounds is a hall, Kosho-den, which was built as a memorial service for Katsuyori and his men. A tomb was built behind the hall in 1775. Archeological excavations unearthed over 5,000 stones with Buddhist scriptures which were buried in the tomb as part of the memorial service.
